Restoration Policy and Programs
 

The Policy and Programs section of FWRIC provides a review of state wetland management programs and policies from across the country to identify applicability to the Florida’s wetland restoration and management programs. A focus was taken on identifying novel uses of information technology, including geospatial technologies, within state wetland programs to assist in making recommendations for Florida. In addition, a review of current Florida statutes, policy, and rules regarding wetland restoration, mitigation, and land acquisition provides a framework for improvement.
