FERI Special Habitats

These land cover classification were created to meet specific conservation lands management challenges or track specific incompatible conservation lands management land covers.

• Borrow pit/Mining pit : borrow pit or mining pit; restoration may require fill material.
• Canal : restoration may require fill of canal
• Cultural Landscape : a geographic area (including both cultural and natural resources and the wildlife or domestic animals therein), associated with a historic event, activity, or person or exhibiting other cultural or aesthetic values.
• Dredge Spoil : restoration may require removal of spoil placed from earlier dredging operations.
• Pasture : area formerly used as pasture and currently in pasture grasses; restoration would require removal of these groundcover species.
• Pine Plantation: area currently planted in off-site pine species.
