Wetland Communities - Lakeshore Marsh/Swamp
 

Pond cypress (Taxodium ascendens) in a karst pond that is occasionally flooded. These swamps have large annual or seasonal water fluctuations. Pond cypress tend to dominant the canopy, these trees may have very large buttressed trunks. Photo taken in November, Leon County, Florida.
