2012 Plant Operations Excellence Awards

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Division of Water Resource Management presented its 2012 Plant Operations Excellence Awards to public drinking water and domestic wastewater facilities from around the state at the annual awards ceremony held in Tallahassee on December 6, 2012. In the opening remarks, Division Director Mark Thomasson commended the winners for their dedication and commitment to excellence in plant operations and public service, which protects public health and the environment. The Drinking Water Awards were presented by Jennifer Porter, P.E., Drinking Water Program. The Domestic Wastewater Awards were presented by Sharon Sawicki, P.E., Domestic Wastewater Section Administrator.
