The 2010 Legislature made changes to Chapter 403, F.S. involving liner requirements for C&D debris disposal facilities that require updating in Chapter 62-701, F.A.C. Permission to initiate rulemaking for this new rule effort was granted on July 16, 2010. The Department intends to make changes to Chapter 62-701 to conform to the new law and to address a few other technical updates that are needed. In addition simplifying changes are being considered to streamline the permitting process, reduce costs to the regulated community and clarify existing regulations. Information associated with these changes is posted below.
