The Abandoned Tank Restoration Program (ATRP) was created in 1990 by the Legislature to address the problem of out-of-service
or abandoned tanks that have contamination associated with previous operations. An owner of a facility may apply to the ATRP where the storage
of petroleum products for consumption, use, or sale at the facility ended on or before March 1, 1990, there is petroleum product contamination
from properly closed abandoned petroleum storage system(s), and the contamination is not otherwise eligible for the Petroleum Cleanup
Participation Program. Please see Section 376.305(6) Florida Statutes for all statutory requirements.
