available to answer them. Acting as a liaison between reporters
and SED staff, the Public Information Officer also informs the media of
the latest environmental news happening in the District and schedules
interviews between the media and SED staff if necessary.

Clean Boating/Marina Program
Boating Partnership, a public/private effort, is a liaison between the
State of Florida and the marine industry. With thousands of marine
facilities and 1,000,000 registered vessels in Florida, environmental
education within the boating community is crucial to safeguarding the
state's natural resources. The Partnership has developed four specific
programs to encourage environmentally-friendly practices, beyond
regulatory requirements, in and around Florida's waterways.
