The Administrative and Technical Services Division
has developed a "Natural Disaster Emergency Contingency Plan." This plan is
written to support FDEP's role as defined by the State of Florida "Hurricane
Coordinating Procedures" document which was developed by the Department of Community
Affairs, Division of Emergency Management.
The Southeast District Natural Disaster Emergency
Contingency Plan has been written to be a "living" document and has been
under review and refinement since the original edition in June of 1990. This current edition
provides a mechanism for response to and recovery from a hurricane, or other natural
disaster related emergency by the District in coordination with other state and local
agencies. The contingency plan delineates responsibilities of assigned District personnel,
provides for equipment and materials, and explains the nature of associations with other
state and local agencies in the event of a hurricane. |
