Business Planning Section
Behind all great operations is a
great support team, and the Business Planning Organization keeps SED
running while our program inspectors and permitting teams safeguard the
Florida environment. Just
as in business, today’s government operations need to be optimized to run
on the smallest budget possible. The Business Planning organization brings
systematic business planning methods into DEP to help reduce costs while
optimizing our operations to improve our overall operational performance.
The benefits of business planning include:
-
Creating long range strategic plans
-
Business planning takes in to consideration the office
environmental and technological factors that can influence the
district’s plans significantly
-
Integrate SED’s strategic plan with the other district and
state level organizations’ plans and priorities
-
Effective business planning helps SED to achieve its
objectives and goals
-
Provide a view of the organization in total rather than by
department
-
Help map out and optimize SED operational processes
