Laura Comer is a graduate of Florida
Southern College with an M.S. in Physics from Florida State
University. She began her career at the Florida Department of
Environmental Protection in the Tallahassee Branch Office in 1991 as
an Environmental Specialist with the Petroleum Storage Tank and
Solid and Hazardous Waste Programs. Laura transferred to the Fort
Myers office in 1994.
Laura
coordinates the Department's
Sustainability
Initiatives targeting conservation and recycling and is the
local coordinator for the
Clean Marina Program.
She works closely with the
Ombudsman to support District education and outreach efforts and
assists the solid and hazardous waste program staff by providing
regulatory compliance assistance to businesses.
Laura is a member of the
Florida Pollution
Prevention Roundtable,
Society for Ethical Ecotourism, and
SustainabLEE. |
