Understanding environmental topics is vital to environmental
protection. DEP's South District office can provide your school,
community or organization with speakers and presentations on a variety
of environmental topics within the framework of environmental
conservation and protection, highlighting how individuals can improve
natural Florida. This list reflects major topic areas that staff members
can address, but if you don’t see the subject you’re interested in, call
us! If DEP cannot provide a speaker for you, we will help you locate
another resource.

The Clean Boating Partnership, a public/private effort, is a liaison
between the State of Florida and the marine industry. With
thousands of marine facilities and 1,000,000 registered vessels in
Florida, environmental education within the boating community is crucial
to safeguarding the state's natural resources. The Partnership has
developed four specific programs to encourage environmentally-friendly
practices, beyond regulatory requirements, in and around Florida's
waterways.
Laura Comer is the South District's Clean Marina Coordinator.
