The natural
environment is the lifeblood of our state's economy; the reason it is so beautiful. The Department of Environmental Protection wants to work with you to protect,
conserve and manage Florida's environment and valuable natural resources. The
DEP's South District focuses on issues facing this region and state,
ranging from mangroves to hazardous waste.
The South District always welcomes public input.
The District is responsible for the following county areas: Charlotte,
Collier, Desoto, Highlands, Hendry, Glades, Lee, Monroe and
Sarasota.
Please note:
Florida
has a very broad public records law. Most written
communications to or from state officials regarding state
business are public records available to the public and media
upon request. Your E-mail communication may therefore be subject
to public disclosure.
