Lake (n) a large body of water that is completely surrounded by land.

Lagoon (n) a shallow area of sea water that is separated from the ocean by a reef of sand or coral.

Landscape (n) the traits, patterns and structure of a specific region.

Lighthouse (n) A tall structure topped by a powerful light used as a signal or beacon to aid marine navigation.

Limestone (n) - a bedded sedimentary deposit consisting chiefly of calcium carbonate. Limestone is an important and widely distributed of the carbonate rocks; it is the consolidated equivalent of limy mud, calcareous sand, or shell fragments.

Liquid (n) a substance that is free flowing and takes the shape of its container.

Litter (n) garbage and trash that is thrown on the ground.

Lithosphere (n) - the solid outer part of the earth that is composed of rock.
