Absorb (v) – to take in or soak up a liquid.

Acre (n) – a measure of land equal to 43,560 square feet.

Agriculture (n) – farming; growing crops and raising farm animals.

Air (n) – the mixture of invisible, odorless, tasteless gases that surround the Earth.

Alligator (n) - large amphibious reptile with sharp teeth, powerful jaws, and a broad short snout.

Alternative Fuel Vehicle (n) - motor vehicles that run on fuels other than petroleum-based fuels. As defined by the National Energy Policy Act, this excludes reformulated gasoline as an alternative fuel.
