Invitation from the
Director of Florida State Parks

Wendy Spencer, Director, Florida State ParksWelcome to the official website for the 50th Annual Florida Folk Festival -- Florida's premier heritage event featuring more than 600 of the state's greatest folk artists!

Since 1953, folk performers and artists have gathered every spring at historic Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in the town of White Springs to celebrate Florida's land and heritage.

This is the first year the Folk Festival will be managed by Florida State Parks and we are determined to make this anniversary edition of the Festival the best ever! Seating capacities and performance areas have been increased throughout the Festival and there will be free shuttle buses to every stage as well as expanded public comfort and security services.

An honored family tradition, the official Florida Folk Festival is the cultural crossroads of the Sunshine State. Several thousand Florida school children, representing many public and private schools, become part of our extended family each year as they visit the festival and experience their cultural heritage. This year, we will have extended programming for children and families and strong education in-service programs for teachers.

You can browse through this website for information on ordering your tickets to this year's Festival and glance through the schedule of events. Please join us on May 24-26 for a weekend of great folk music, dancing, food, crafts, and fun!

Warmest Regards,
Wendy Spencer, Director
Florida State Parks
