quality and appropriate resource-based recreational
opportunities, interpretation and education that help visitors connect

AmeriCorps Information
The Florida State Parks AmeriCorps program is administered by the
Florida Department of Environmental Protection and operates in Florida's
161 state parks and their surrounding communities. In cooperation with
Park staff, local organizations and schools, Florida State Parks
AmeriCorps members provide service in the areas of habitat restoration,
ADA compliance, prescribed burning, trail maintenance, cultural and
historical restoration and environmental education.

alphabetical listing of all parks, etc.

Geographically, Florida is a large state with 161 park areas that provide you with quality recreational experiences. Swimming,
camping, hiking, fishing or simply reflecting on Florida's natural and cultural resources are but a few of the great opportunities
available in Florida State Parks. More than 19.5 million people visited Florida's state parks in 2007-2008.

The Bureau of Natural and Cultural Resources is the office within the
Division of Recreation and Parks that provides advice and technical
support for natural and cultural resource management programs throughout
the state park system.

Bureau of Operational Services
The Bureau of Operational Services coordinates the
marketing and promotion, training, IRM and networking for the State
Parks System and provides administrative support to the Division.

Office of Park Planning
The Office of Park Planning coordinates the development of park
