regarding the Environmental Resources
Phase I Stormwater Permit issued on January
27, 2010.
The proposed project will generate a nominal net 55.4 megawatts
of electricity. The plant
will be fueled by a gas produced by heating biomass (primarily wood
chips and wood and agricultural wastes) in the absence of oxygen. The
main equipment consists of a material handling system, material dryer,
biomass gasification system, two combustion turbines, waste heat
recovery steam generators with duct burners, auxiliary boiler, emergency
flare system and two mechanical draft cooling towers.
The proposed project location is approximately
1.6 miles directly north of the intersection of US Highway 98 and
Highway 71, off Industrial Road at 521 Premier Drive in Port St. Joe,
Gulf County.
