The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is committed to
creating a more open, transparent government for the people of Florida.
The following interactive tools are available from DEP's various program
areas. In an effort to meet our customer's needs, this page will expand
as more applications and tools become available.
Online Services
- Permitting Application Subscription Service (PASS) allows the public to
receive e-mail alerts when permit applications are submitted to DEP.
PASS allows any interested party to access information related to
environmental permit applications received by the agency in any area of
Florida. Users provide an e-mail address and identify locations of
interest as well as activities of interest, and then will receive e-mail
notification with more information when permit applications are received
at DEP that match the specifications chosen by the member of the public.
Subscribers will receive an e-mail identifying application information,
such as project ID, location name and ID, and permit application number,
as well as contact information for the appropriate permitting office.
AIR
-
Air Compliance and Enforcement Search (ACES) provides both
summary and detailed information about facilities' compliance and
enforcement status and history in relation to federal and state air
pollution regulations. ACES is designed to be simple yet provide
sufficient detail to meet a user's needs. The primary intent behind ACES
is to provide the public with a portal not only to learn about the
regulatory oversight DEP provides, but also to retrieve the compliance
records of facilities in their community.
-
Air Permit Document
Search offers electronic access to Prevention
of Significant Deterioration (PSD) Air Quality Permits and Title V
permit related documents.
-
AOR Submittals Search provides facilities
with the ability to search for past and current submissions and offers
confirmation and receipt for submissions.
-
Florida AOR Data Search (FADS) provides an easy access to
annual air pollutant emissions data through the Annual Operating
Report (AOR) Data Search application.
- Florida's Air Quality System (FLAQS) provides a host of mapping and
reporting applications available to show ozone and particle
pollution levels recorded by the state's ambient air monitoring network.
WASTE
-
OCULUS is a web-based document management system that allows the
public to search and review more than two million waste documents
within DEP. The documents are broken into four different categories:
hazardous waste, solid waste, storage tanks and waste cleanup.
-
Contamination Locator Map (CLM) is an online tool that allows
users to locate waste cleanup sites near their homes, neighborhoods,
businesses or any identified location on a Florida map. CLM provides
users with real-time information online, but takes it a step further by
allowing users to subscribe to receive e-mail updates when the site
they're interested in reaches milestones in the cleanup process, such as
the completion of a site assessment or approval of the site's
remediation action plan. Included in the resulting information for each
site is the facility identification number, which allows users to access
further information using another of DEP's online tools, OCULUS, the
web-based management system that will allow users access to documents
associated with the cleanup sites. While currently CLM is limited to
petroleum cleanup sites, DEP is planning on expanding the application to
Brownfield sites, Superfund sites, and other waste cleanup sites such as
dry cleaning, hazardous waste and state-owned lands.
-
Waste Management Database Reports access various reports and
queries throughout the Division of Waste Management.
WATER
- Interactive Notice of Intent (iNOI) is a web-based tool for industrial and
construction stormwater discharge permits. The system allows users to
track, view and complete National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System
(NPDES) stormwater permit applications online. The iNOI Web site allows
users to pay permit fees and terminate permit coverage, even if the
Notice of Intent originated as a paper submittal. In addition, users can
track, search, view and sort a listing of all NPDES stormwater permits.
- Self Certification for Single Family Docks
Through this electronic process, you can immediately determine
whether a private single family dock can be constructed without
further notice or review by DEP. This includes notification of
qualification for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers State
Programmatic General Permit (SPGP IV). If
qualified, this process will also provide a written confirmation of
qualification so that further contact with DEP will not be necessary.
- Water and Domestic Wastewater Operator Certification Program's on-line
license renewal
-
Water Data Central
serves as a window on the data, environmental programs, and other
useful information and reports about water that are available from
the Department and its partner environmental and public health
agencies.
GREEN PROGRAMS
- Clean Marina Application
is an online application that documents a
facility's commitment to help eliminate or reduce pollutants from
reaching Florida's waterways. Upon completing the application facilities
will receive the Florida Clean Marina Program Workbook containing all of
the information on becoming a Clean Marina.
- Green Lodging Application
is an online application that is
a comprehensive evaluation tool that details the program's requirements
and provides links to Best Management Practices and Technical Assistance to
help facilities achieve Florida Green Lodging designation.
- Green Lodging Survey
is an online survey that allows guests to
rate the effectiveness of a designated Florida Green Lodging property's
communication and implementation of its environmental policies.
OPEN GOVERNMENT
-
Customer Service Survey
is an online customer
satisfaction survey giving citizens an opportunity to rate their level
of satisfaction with Department services and information. The survey is
designed to help DEP gauge how effectively it is answering citizens'
needs, and identify areas where it can improve the level and quality of
services provided.
-
Public
Services Comment Form provides the ability to submit a
question, suggestion or complaint to DEP.
