HURRICANE KATRINA POWER BRIEFING SHEET

After the landfalls of Hurricane Katrina in South Florida
and Louisiana, close to 234,316 customers across ten counties
are affected by power outages.
Power outages are affecting approximately 155,262 FPL customers,
78,064 Gulf Power customers and 990 cooperative customers.
BAY COUNTY
- 1% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 571 of 87,023 Gulf Power Company customers
without power.
BROWARD COUNTY
- 4% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 37,031 of 880,207 FPL customers without power.
DADE COUNTY
- 12% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 118,231 of 968,480 FPL customers without power.
- Power restored to all municipal customers.
ESCAMBIA COUNTY
- 39% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 54,431 of 135,516 Gulf Power customers without
power.
- Approximately 400 of 3,453 cooperative customers without
power.
HOLMES COUNTY
- Power restored to all customers.
MONROE COUNTY
- Power restored to all customers.
OKALOOSA COUNTY
- 9% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 7,901 of 85,179 Gulf Power customers without
power.
- Approximately 190 cooperative customers without power.
SANTA ROSA COUNTY
- 25% of total customers without power.
- Approximately 15,161 of 56,701 Gulf Power customers without
power.
- Approximately 400 cooperative customers without power.
