SUMMARY

After the landfalls of Hurricane Katrina in South Florida and Louisiana, close to 382,849 customers across ten counties are affected by power outages.

Power outages are affecting approximately 264,200 FPL customers, 117,359 Gulf Power customers, 990 cooperative customers and 300 municipal customers.

COUNTY BY COUNTY BREAKDOWN

BAY COUNTY

  • 1% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 818 of 87,023 Gulf Power Company customers without power.

BROWARD COUNTY

  • 9% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 77,800 of 880,207 FPL customers without power.

DADE COUNTY

  • 19% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 186,400 of 968,480 FPL customers without power.
  • Power restored to all municipal customers.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY

  • 60% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 83,573 of 138,535 Gulf Power customers without power.
  • Approximately 400 of 3,453 cooperative customers without power.

HOLMES COUNTY

  • Less than 1% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 9 of 2,591 Gulf Power customers without power.

MONROE COUNTY

  • Less than 1% of total customers without power.
  • 100% of power restored to cooperative customers.
  • Approximately 300 municipal customers without power.

OKALOOSA COUNTY

  • 8% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 7,289 of 85,179 Gulf Power customers without power.
  • Approximately 190 cooperative customers without power.

SANTA ROSA COUNTY

  • 41% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 25,637 of 57,861 Gulf Power customers without power.
  • Approximately 400 cooperative customers without power.

WALTON COUNTY

  • Less than 1% of total customers without power.
  • Approximately 32 of 18,047 Gulf Power customers without power.
