POWER BRIEFING SHEET

SUMMARY

Since Hurricane Dennis made landfall along Florida’s panhandle on July 10, more than 154,093 customers have power restored. Close to 127,682 customers across 5 counties are without power.

Power outages are affecting approximately 120,926 Gulf Power Company customers and 6,756 cooperative customers.

At least 48 counties experienced power outages due to Hurricane Dennis. Power is now 100% restored across 37 counties and fully restored to Progress Energy Florida and FPL customers. Gulf Power Company reports that 95% of customers will have power restored within a week.

Power was restored to 23 counties over the last 48 hours: Calhoun, Franklin, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Gulf, Hamilton, Highlands, Holmes, Jackson, Jefferson, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Seminole, Sumter, Taylor, Wakulla and Washington.

BAY COUNTY

  • Less than 1% of total customers without power.
  • Progress and cooperative customers restored.
  • 135 of 87,023 Gulf Power customers without power.
  • Power to be restored to Gulf customers by 9 p.m., Tuesday, July 12.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY

  • 43% of total customers without power.
  • 2,153 of 3,453 cooperative customers without power.
  • 58,565 of 138,535 Gulf Power customers without power.
  • Power to be restored to 95% of Gulf customers within one week.

OKALOOSA COUNTY

  • 26% of total customers without power.
  • Cooperative customers restored.
  • 25,612 of 85,179 Gulf Power customers without power.
  • Power to be restored to 95% of Gulf customers within one week.

SANTA ROSA COUNTY

  • 61% of total customers without power.
  • 34,795 of 57,861 Gulf Power customers without power.
  • Power to be restored to 95% of Gulf customers within one week except Santa Rosa Island.
  • 4,603 of 6,455 cooperative customers without power.
  • Power to be restored to cooperative customers by midnight, Sunday, July 17.

WALTON COUNTY

  • 4% of total customers without power.
  • Cooperative customers restored.
  • 1,819 of 16,814 Gulf Power customers without power.
  • Power to be restored to Gulf customers by 3 p.m., Wednesday, July 13.
