Most District Operations to Resume Thursday

PALATKA — The St. Johns River Water Management District will resume normal operations tomorrow (Thursday) at its Palatka headquarters, Apopka and Sunnyhill field offices, and Altamonte Springs, Palm Bay and Jacksonville service centers.

Also, the Moss Bluff and Burrell locks will resume normal operations for boat traffic beginning at 8 a.m. Steven R. Miller, director of the District’s Division of Land Management, says repairs at the Apopka Lock and Dam will cause navigation to be suspended until further notice.

Staff continue to inspect the District’s 44 conservation areas to determine when those public lands are safe to reopen.
