Medically Skilled Volunteers Urgently Needed
Martin County Emergency Management officials have issued an urgent
call for medically-skilled personnel to volunteer and provide assistance
at the County’s Special Needs Shelter located at Challenger School, 5150
SE Willoughby Blvd. in Stuart.
Special Needs residents are typically those citizens requiring
medical monitoring are on oxygen or are infirmed.
Those citizens who wish to volunteer should report directly to
Challenger School and ask for the Shelter Manager.
Volunteers capable of remaining at the shelter for the duration of
Hurricane Frances should bring a change of clothes and any other
personal items to last for approximately two to three days.
