Florida Emergency Information Hotline
TALLAHASSEE – Due to the potential landfall and
impact of Hurricane Frances, the State of Florida has continued
activation of the Florida Emergency Information 24-hour hotline (FEIL)
for residents to obtain accurate, up-to-date information on the progress
of recovery efforts.
The toll-free number is 1-800-342-3557.
The State Emergency Operations Center has also activated to Level 1,
the highest level of activation. In a full-scale activation, all primary
and support agencies are notified. The State Emergency Operations Center
will be staffed by Division of Emergency Management personnel and all
Emergency Support Functions.
Emergency information can also be obtained by visiting
www.FloridaDisaster.org.
Residents and visitors can get information about hurricanes, including
preparation tips, public shelters, road status, and maps of storm
surges, evacuation routes and shelter locations on-line.
