It is the policy of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Law Enforcement (DLE) to prohibit inappropriate racial profiling, to train all members engaged in enforcement activities about the prohibition against inappropriately biased policing, and to thoroughly investigate all complaints of inappropriately biased policing.  Any person may file a complaint with the department if he or she believes that he or she has been stopped, detained, arrested, had his or her personal property seized, or been asked to consent to a search as a result of inappropriately biased policing.
