
How long is the trail?
The trail is 46 miles long. Its starts just north of Dunnellon and ends
at Trilby.
Do I have to pick up after my pet on the trail?
Yes. All pets must be kept on a 6’ hand-held leash and the owner must
clean up after their pet.
Can I hunt along the trail?
No. Firearms and hunting are prohibited in and along the Withlacoochee
State Trail.
May I fish at the bridge trestles north of Inverness?
Yes. You must follow all rules that pertain to fishing.
May I ride my bike on the trail at night?
No. The trail closes at sunset.
May I ride my horse on the trail?
Horses are not allowed on the paved trail. They must use the separate
path that parallels the paved trail.
Can I camp along the trail?
There are several public and private camping areas along the trail.
Camping is not allowed on the trail.
Are there bike rentals on the trail?
Yes. There are private bike shops that rent bikes in Inverness and in
Isatchatta.
