General James Van Fleet State Trail
The Van Fleet Trail is a safe and pleasant place for
bicyclists, hikers, joggers, and horseback riders to enjoy. The 29 mile
trail through the Green Swamp was once a railroad track that has been
converted for recreational use. The trail extends from Polk City
through Bay Lake to Mabel. The trail is open from sunrise to sunset
daily.
Hours of Operation The trail is open from 8 a.m. until sundown, 365
days a year.
Driving Directions
Parking is provided at the Mabel Trailhead off SR 50; Bay Lake Trailhead south
side of CR 565; Green Pond Trailhead off of SR 33 & Green Pond Rd.; and Polk
City Trailhead off SR 33 & CR 665.
Park Fees There are no fees to use the Van Fleet State Trail.
