DEP AWARDS FOUR PALM DESIGNATION TO FOUR PROPERTIES

On March 15, 2016, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection awarded four additional lodges the Florida Green Lodging Program’s Four Palm Designation, the highest level possible, for their remarkable conservation efforts. The Wyndham Garden Lake Buena Vista Resort, the Wyndham Cypress Palms, the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort, and the Marriott Cypress Harbour Resort join the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables as the Program’s top performers.

Updates

• As of September 1, 2016, there are 421 ACTIVE designated Florida Green Lodging properties.

• The deadline to submit your 2015 Environmental Performance Data is April 1, 2016. All ACTIVE properties received an email with link to submit their data. If you did not receive your link please contact us at (850) 245-2116 or GreenLodging@dep.state.fl.us

• The Florida Green Lodging Program has launched a new web-based interactive GIS Map of all ACTIVE designated properties. Please ensure your property is ACTIVE in the program in order to ensure your property is listed on the new GIS Map by contacting us at  Florida Green Lodging Program.
