NOAA Gulf Response Mapping (ERMA)
Developed by the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) along with EPA, U.S. Coast Guard and the U.S. Department of Interior, www.GeoPlatform.gov/gulfresponse is an online tool that provides a one-stop shop with near-real time information about the oil spill response effort. During the height of the oil spill the site provided the latest data about the oil spill trajectory, fishery closures, wildlife data and place-based Gulf Coast resources. The site is continuing to be used for SCAT team reports, including locations of oiled shoreline, and information on other active clean-up efforts.
