  • Recycled Oyster Shell Bagging
    Sat, Jul 9, 23 (8 am - 12 pm)
    6000 W. Highway 98, across from the Naval Hospital. Volunteers may enter into the gated site and follow parking signage. Directions: https://goo.gl/maps/nPvfk
    Join Northwest Florida Aquatic Preserves and Keep Pensacola Beautiful for an oyster bagging event.
    Please RSVP to Beth Fugate (850) 595-0683 or Beth.L.Fugate@dep.state.fl.us.
    What to bring/wear: Close-toed shoes, sunscreen and gloves (we have extra for those needing them).
    What you will be doing: You will be bagging oyster shell. The bags will be deployed in Bayou Grande. Our goal is 500 bags (20 lb. each) or 10,000 lbs. Oyster shell will be placed at a later date in reefs in Bayou Grande.

August 2016

  • Marsh Cleanup at Project GreenShores
    Sat, Aug 13 (8 am - 12 pm)
    The turnoff is just before 3 Mile Bridge, across from the Welcome Center.
    This event will be a cleanup along Project Greenshores. Please bring a water bottle and closed toe shoes, as well as sunscreen and hat if you would like. Contact Zach Schang at (850)595-0599 or Zachary.schang@dep.state.fl.us for more information.
    What to bring/wear: Close-toed shoes, sunscreen and gloves (we have extra for those needing them).

  • International Coastal Cleanup at Project GreenShores
    Sat,  Sep 17 (8 am - 12 pm)
    The turnoff is just before 3 Mile Bridge, across from the Welcome Center.
    This event will be a cleanup along Project Greenshores. This cleanup will beautify approximately 2 miles along Pensacola Bay. Please bring a water bottle and closed toe shoes, as well as sunscreen and hat if you would like.
