Invasive Species Removal on the Little Wekiva
Join the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Wekiva River Aquatic Preserve, Keep Seminole Beautiful, and the SERV
Program to remove invasive East Indian hygrophila, a rapidly expanding aquatic plant that threatens the waterway. Please note
that we will be working in the water for most of the event. Volunteers must wear close-toe shoes, and guardian supervision is
required for youth under 12. Gloves, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle are recommended. Contact Elizabeth Stephens
(407-665-2457, firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information and to sign-up!
