  • National Estuaries Day

    Apalachicola Nature Center, 108 Island Drive, Eastpoint, FL 32328
    Enter the event from parking lot at 108 Island Drive. Free t-shirts to the first 600 visitors (ages 3 years old and up)! Free educational activities include touch tanks, waterfront race, fishing game, beach scavenger hunt, ocean bing, microscope activities, sponge painting and much more. Door prize drawing for adults at 5:30 pm.

  • Astronomy Walk
    Oct 3 (7 - 9 pm)
    Begin the journey at Lodge at Visitor’s Center at Buffer Preserve. Walking tour then moves across the street to the Main Gate for two-mile hike. No charge.
  • Fall Bay Day Celebration
    Oct 4
    Friends of St. Joseph Bay Preserves present the opportunity to tour the preserves and learn about the birds and life along the bay. Guided tours at 10:00 am EST, 12:00 pm EST and 2:00 pm EST. Low Country Shrimp Boil from 11:00 am EST to 2:00 pm EST, $10.00 Donation. Live music.
  • Sunset Cruise
    Oct 4
    Sign up will be during Bay Day or right before the cruise. Tickets are $25 per person for the cruise. Cruise will be aboard the Fish'n Xpress and will depart from Jetty Park near Port St. Joe Marina. Turn onto Marina Drive (First Street) and travel to bay to reach Jetty Park.
