Description
In the gentle, relatively flat environment of Southwest Florida, the diversity encountered in a few inches of
elevation change is equivalent to thousands of feet of elevation change in other environments. Rookery Bay
Reserve and Up A Creek Kayak Tours team up to offer the local knowledge required for you to experience the
inner secrets of the Reserve on a boat-assisted kayak tour and hike. Limited to six people, meander along bays
and through winding creeks as you cruise to Sand Hill Bay. There we will hike to one of the highest points in
Collier County, an ancient sand dune relic from the Pleistocene Era and home of rare rosemary scrub ecosystem.
Then float along with the falling tide in a kayak to meet up with our power boat for the return voyage home.
Due to the nature of this tour, some previous kayaking experience is required as well as the flexibility to
enter and exit your kayak from the boat. All paddlers must be over the age of 15 and under 250 pounds.
$120/ $100 for members
