Description

Enjoy a 3k kayak along Henderson Creek and a 4k trail run at the Rookery Bay Environmental Learning Center to benefit the Friends of Rookery Bay. Registration is limited to 70 people. Fees are $40 for individuals and $70 for relay teams. Kayak rentals are available for a separate fee. The race is organized and sponsored by Up A Creek Kayak Tours. All participants will receive a t-shirt, post-race refreshments and free admission to the Environmental Learning Center. Awards will be presented to the top finishers in each category: men, women, relay and tandem-team.

• Must provide own kayak (no canoes, foot-pedal kayaks, or stand-up paddle boards)
   
• Must wear a Type III pfd when kayaking.
   
• Participants must be age 13 or over.
   
• Limited number of kayaks available for rent at $20/kayak. Payable upon race registration. Kayaks are single sit-on-top Wilderness Tarpons.
   
• No transfers or refunds for cancellations.
   
• A relay must consist of 2 people. One person kayaks. One person runs. Individual members of a relay cannot register separately. One person must register the relay (Registrant) and include information about 2nd person (Guest).
   
• Tandem-team must consist of 2 people. Both people paddle a tandem kayak (must provide your own), both people run. Finish places are added. Lowest score wins tandem-team category. One person must register the tandem-team (Registrant) and include information about 2nd person (Guest). You will receive a confirmation email containing detailed instructions regarding packet pick-up, course, race day logistics.
