CAMA is in the process of updating site specific management plans. The North Fork St. Lucie River Aquatic Preserve Management Plan was completed in April 2009.

The preserve received vital input from both an advisory committee, developed for the purpose of updating the plan, and the public. A draft plan was produced and made available to the public for review and comment in early 2008. Throughout 2008 and 2009, improvements and updates were made.

The North Fork St. Lucie River Aquatic Preserve Management Plan has been completed and was approved by the Acquisition and Restoration Council (ARC) on June 11, 2009. The plan was approved by the Governor and Cabinet on August 11, 2009.
