Description

Come spend a Saturday on a spoil island! Help build recreational structures, remove exotic plant species, plant natives, remove trash and enjoy the great outdoors. Stay for trail walking, fishing, or just to relax and take in the scenery.

Be sure to wear shoes/clothes that can get dirty. Rain dates are 1 week from scheduled event. Gloves, drinks, and sunscreen will be provided. Please RSVP if you plan on attending. Spoil island destinations may change.

If you are interested in Volunteer Days, please send an email with your contact information to the Spoil Island Coordinator at IRLAP@dep.state.fl.us and you will be added to the Volunteer Days distribution list. You will also be asked to fill out a Volunteer Application Agreement prior to the start of the event. If you have additional questions, please contact Marc Virgilio at (321) 953-5008.
