| Cultural Resource Protection at GTM Research Reserve |
Quick Topics |
|
The lands and waters that make up the GTM Research Reserve have a rich history of human occupation. GTM
Research Reserve seeks to assess these resources to
protect them and give the public opportunities to learn about
them.
Strategies
- Complete archaeological surveys on the Guana
Peninsula.
- Develop a complete list of collections for all
artifacts collected from GTM Research Reserve.
- Enhance opportunities for the public to learn about
the cultural resources at GTM Research Reserve.
- Maintain and conserve archaeological sites and their
artifacts from vandalism, erosion or other forms of
degradation.
|

Volunteers at Sanchez Mound help search for artifacts.
|
Goal
Preserve the cultural resources through research, interpretation and preservation.
More information on how the GTM Research Reserve is addressing cultural resource protection issues is available
