Beach Access Sign Florida's citizens and visitors should be able to access cultural, historic and natural resources along the coast. At the same time, fragile coastal ecosystems need to be protected from intensive public use. Environmental damage can be minimized by directing foot and vehicular access to designated points of entry. The Florida Coastal Management Program helps local communities manage and protect public beaches by providing free signs to designate public access locations.

How many signs are available?

Local governments can request any number of access signs needed to place at public beach access locations. Each year, signs will be provided by the Florida Coastal Management Program until the funds reserved for the program have been expended.

What are the dimensions of the signs?

Beach Access signs measure 18” high x 24” wide. The communities that receive the free signs are responsible for the proper installation, use and maintenance of the signs.

How do communities apply?

Order online  between Oct. 1st - Dec. 15th each year.
