Basin Management Action Plan (BMAP)
Meetings
After TMDLs are adopted for a water body, BMAPs are established
through a series of meetings with stakeholders and DEP staff. BMAP
Working Group Meetings are open to the public and present important
information about the science behind TMDLs as well as the opportunity to
voice questions and concerns.

rule to adopt a TMDL, the public is given 21-day challenge period to

Blue Spring Alliance
The purpose of the spring working groups is
to provide a forum for stakeholders to learn about the spring ecosystem
and threats to its health, to understand why the local community values the springs, and to
work together on projects to conserve and restore the springs and their
spring-run streams. For more information on the Blue Spring Alliance,

Volunteer Opportunities
Florida State Parks
Florida has 160 state parks, all of which depend heavily on
volunteers for anything from working concessions to assisting with
wildlife surveys. Visit the

County Programs
Local county governments have many volunteer programs that range from
water sampling to surveying wildlife. Below are links to several
