Notice of Projects
with Heightened Public Concern
announces receipt of an application for permit from Florida Southeast
Connection, LLC File No.
to construct and operate an approximately 127-mile-long natural gas
pipeline known as the Florida Southeast Connection Project (FSC Project).
The pipeline will traverse Polk, Osceola, Okeechobee, St. Lucie, and
Martin Counties, terminating at the Martin Meter Station located at the
Martin Clean Energy Center in Martin County, Florida. In general,
the proposed route originates in Osceola County at a point just north of
the countyline at County Road (CR) 532 and runs generally south through
Polk County for approximately 25 miles. The corridor turns east, where it
traverses through Polk and Osceola Counties before turning southeast
through Okeechobee and St. Lucie Counties. For the last 11.5 miles, the
route runs almost due south from the St. Lucie/Martin County boundary
terminating at a point within the existing FPL Martin Clean Energy Center
property north of Indiantown in Martin County, Florida.
