Since 1993, the Central District Solid Waste Section has made an inventory of closed landfills/old dumps using records In House.  The section continues to compile data on locations and water quality of those landfills/dumps in 8 counties (Brevard, Indian River, Lake, east Marion, Orange , Osceola, Seminole and Volusia).

Information is available at the Central District Office.  This effort is to facilitate the public searches for environmental impacts that may be caused by old dumps.  Absence of information should not be interpreted as no environmental impact.  Additional investigation or work may be warranted.
