Drinking Water Plant Operations Awards Program
Each year, the Department presents awards to drinking water facilities
around the State, that demonstrate
excellence in operation, maintenance, and compliance; innovative
treatment; waste reduction and pollution prevention; recycling; and
other special achievements. These awards are presented to
recognize facilities that demonstrate a special commitment to
excellence in management through dedicated professionalism.
Facilities that demonstrate excellence are encouraged to complete and
submit a self-nominating form to their local DEP district office to be
recognized. Current applications are available below.
Awards are presented to one facility in each of the Department's six
district offices for each of the following types of drinking water
- Small Community (serving < 3,300 persons)
- Medium Community (serving 3,300 to 50,000 persons)
- Large Community (serving > 50,000 persons)
- Non-Community (includes both Transient and Non-Transient)
2013 Plant Operations Excellence Awards
The Department’s Division of Water Resource Management is now
accepting applications for the Department’s 2013 Plant Operations
Excellence Awards for public water supply facilities.
Applications may be obtained by contacting the water programs at DEP
districts, delegated domestic wastewater local programs, and DOH
Approved County Health Department (ACHD) offices. 2013 applications are
