Quick Look Reports

The Quick Look report is a statistical summary according to the interpretation of the regulations by the EPA of the ambient air monitoring data collected. Ambient air is the outside air near ground-level that people breathe. A number of air pollutants at high concentrations can cause damage to human health.

The Federal Clean Air Act provides for the establishment of National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) to protect the public from harmful concentrations of the most common air pollutants.

Standards have been developed for the six major air pollutants, called criteria pollutants: carbon monoxide (CO), sulfur dioxide (SO2), lead (Pb), ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and airborne particulate matter 10 micrometers or less (PM10).
