The Florida Green Lodging Program is a voluntary initiative of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) that designates and recognizes lodging facilities that make a commitment to conserve and protect Florida’s natural resources. The program’s environmental guidelines allow the hospitality industry to evaluate its operations, set goals and take specific actions to continuously improve environmental performance. Green Lodging Program Grows to 650 Properties

Labor Day is a perfect time to celebrate the accomplishments of 12 hotels helping to protect Florida’s environment by becoming designated members of the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Green Lodging program. The Green Lodging program recently designated additional properties throughout the state for travelers who would like to stay in an eco-conscious facility. The designation of the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in Clearwater Beach marks the 650th property designated statewide.
