Cultural Resource Protection at GTM Research Reserve Quick Topics

The lands and waters that make up the GTM Research Reserve have a rich history of human occupation. GTM Research Reserve seeks to assess these resources to protect them and give the public opportunities to learn about them.

  • Complete archaeological surveys on the Guana Peninsula.
  • Develop a complete list of collections for all artifacts collected from GTM Research Reserve.
  • Enhance opportunities for the public to learn about the cultural resources at GTM Research Reserve.
  • Maintain and conserve archaeological sites and their artifacts from vandalism, erosion or other forms of degradation.
