General Public Programs
Environmental Education Center: Learn about the importance of the estuary
and the Research Reserve's role in protecting our coastal resources. Examine live and replica estuary animals
and plants! Other program components may include an informative 20 minute video about the Reserve, visiting
the Nature Store for books, clothing, and artwork by local artists.
Brown Bag Lunch Presentations: Bring your lunch to the Education Center on the first Friday of
each month at 12:00 noon for an informative presentation. A wide variety of topics are offered
ranging from endangered species to science, world travels and more!
Nature Walks or Photo Expeditions: Enjoy a guided, exploratory walk through beautiful coastal
habitats. Programs may include bird walks, beach or upland habitat discovery walks, photography
opportunities and so much more!
Family Programs: Round up the family and bring them to the GTM Research Reserve! Hear a nature story and
create a special nature craft, go on a behind the scenes tour or be a researcher for the day! Class offerings
vary, so please check the calendar or call for a current schedule. Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for every two
children). Reservations required.
