On the third Wednesday of every month from 3 to 4 p.m., visitors can learn about the latest technology used in environmental research. Technology is becoming a key component to environmental sustainability and conservation. Learn the worth of your environment, how technologies benefited past cultures and how present-day society incorporates technology into engineering, medicine, food, clothing and much more. The program is free with paid entrance and will take place at the Environmental Education Center located at 505 Guana River Rd in South Ponte Vedra Beach. Please RSVP by going to http://gtmnerrecogeek.eventbrite.com or calling (904)823-4500.

Our April 17th program will focus on oyster restoration projects across the country. Did you know that a single oyster can effectively filter water at a rate of about 2 gallons per hour? These seemingly simple creatures are incredibly efficient at filtering toxins out of our water. Come join us as we video conference with South Slough NERR about their efforts to restore native Olympia Oysters in Oregon!
