The DEP Office of Permitting and Compliance has received an application from ADAGE Gadsden LLC to construct a 55.5 megawatt woody biomass power plant. The proposed facility would be located in Gadsden County, south of the Town of Gretna, at the intersection of State Highway 12 (Greensboro Road) and US Highway 90 (Main Street).
