An amazing world exists within the pristine, mangrove-fringed waterways, uplands and freshwater wetland habitats of Rookery Bay reserve. The estuary provides important habitat for many species of wildlife as well as an ideal setting for visitors to enjoy a variety of outdoor learning experiences and outstanding recreational activities. Boat tours invite passengers to explore the unique ecosystem of Rookery Bay. These intimate experiences accommodate a maximum of six passengers and are the only Rookery Bay boat tours conducted by reserve staff.
Kayak tours let paddlers meander through backwater bays and mangrove forests with an experienced guide and naturalist. Tours provide opportunities to see wildlife such as wading birds, osprey, fish and dolphins.
